To all our patients/families,
It’s that time of year, time for flu shots. We will be doing things a little different this year and planning to do some of our flu shot clinics as a drive-thru. There will also be in-office flu shots available during regular office hours if you prefer that method.
The drive-thru will be located at our Delhi office on Anderson Ferry Road. The drive-thru clinic will operate on Sundays from 9am-1pm, starting 9/26/21 and continuing weekly until further notice. We ask that you call ahead of time to schedule an appointment to come for the drive-thru flu shots so that we can keep things flowing well for you. Flu shots can be given at age 6 months and older. We now have our flu vaccine stock for all insurance types available.
For kids age 5 and over, we will want them to be wearing short-sleeves or a tank top so we can give the shot in their upper arm. For kids under age 5, we ask that they arrive wearing either shorts, a skirt or dress, or only a onesie so we can give the shot in their thigh. The shots can be given in the car, or we can have the child come out of the car into our tent for the shot – whichever the parent and medical assistant think will be best for the child.
If your child needs shots in addition to the flu shot, please call the office to schedule a shots-only appointment during our normal office hours (we will not have other shots available during the drive-thru format).
